The sixth injection over

THE SIXTH INJECTION OVER - today we had our final IV injection. Everything went fine. Gruia was only too happy to find out that he will not be bothered again with needles.

However, he had caught a cold and has a running nose. The doctors double checked on him before approving the last stem cells shot. We gave him the medicine we had brought with us from home, and by now (here is already evening) he's feeling much better.

Tomorrow we will receive the results of the final blood tests and the check-out documents. We are leaving very early on Sunday for Beijing. We will spend the day over there to avoid an excessively demanding five-hours drive from Shijiazhuang on Monday (when we have our flight tickets).

We are looking forward to seeing Vlad. We don't have words to describe how much we've missed him here. Every time we talk with him over Yahoo Messenger, his first words are "Bia, Bia, Bia" and only after that he calls our names. It has been difficult for him too.
